Grand Hyatt Cancun will open in December as the brand’s first hotel in the destination and an all-inclusive beachfront resort in Puerto Cancún. Hyatt Hotels Corporation says it will cater to holidaymakers and event groups with leisure facilities and dedicated meeting space.
Grand Hyatt Cancun plans 47 suites and a private lounge
All 500 rooms will include a terrace and face either the ocean or the marina. The inventory includes 47 suites, with private pools available in selected suites.
Guests who reserve Grand Club rooms will receive access to the private Grand Club lounge. Its services will include continental breakfast, afternoon cocktails and other experiences reserved for lounge guests.
Grupo Diestra owns the newly built property, which was announced in 2024.
Food, pools and wellness form the main leisure offer
The resort will combine 14 restaurants and bars, nine outdoor pools and facilities for wellness and children. Its dining program will cover Italian, French, Japanese, Argentine and Uruguayan cooking.
Other options will focus on street food, snacks and grilled dishes, with additional venues beside the pools. The pool collection includes an adults-only area, an infinity pool and another pool at the beach club.
Ritua Sanctuary Spa, a gym, a temazcal and outdoor relaxation areas complete the wellness facilities. A children’s club will serve families staying at the property.
Puerto Cancún provides access to marina activities
Guests will be able to join water-based activities from the marina and arrange excursions to reefs, cenotes and archaeological sites through the hotel. Cenotes are natural freshwater sinkholes found across Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
The property sits close to Cancún’s hotel zone, a golf course and Puerto Cancún’s shops and restaurants. Cancún International Airport is roughly 25 minutes away, although travel time can vary with local traffic.
Event spaces cover indoor rooms and beachfront settings
The resort will offer about 30,100 square feet (2,800 square metres) of indoor meeting and event space, alongside outdoor venues.
The largest hall can be divided into eight sections. Organisers will also have two additional meeting rooms, a boardroom and event areas on terraces, around the pools and on the beach.
Planning a stay around the December launch
Travellers considering an opening-period stay should confirm the precise launch date before making non-refundable travel arrangements, as Hyatt has announced only the month.
Guests seeking a private pool will need to choose an eligible suite, while Grand Club benefits require the corresponding room category. Travellers should also check the final booking terms to see which meals, drinks, spa services and off-site excursions are included in the all-inclusive rate.
