British Airways’ new Colombo flights will start from London Gatwick on 23 October, with dishes from London restaurant Hoppers served on board. The offer applies to Club World, the airline’s long-haul business-class cabin.
How the Colombo flights will operate
British Airways will run the route three times a week, exclusively during its winter schedule.
The seasonal operation means the direct service will not continue throughout the year. Travellers planning trips outside the winter timetable will need to consider another routing.
Hoppers supplies the regional menu
Hoppers specialises in Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine at its London restaurants.
Its dishes will appear in Club World for a limited period. British Airways has not provided details of the individual meals or said how long the restaurant collaboration will last.
What travellers should check before booking
Travellers should confirm that their chosen departure operates and that the Hoppers dishes remain available on that date.
The airline has not specified the three weekly operating days. Passengers interested in the dining offer should also check its availability for their flight before booking.
